ifilm English TV to wave farewell for ‘Jaber ibn Hayyan’

ifilm English channel has set to air the final episode of the series ‘Jaber ibn Hayyan’ on Saturday.

Finale of the series, produced by Mohammad-Taqi Ansari and directed by Javad Afshar, will be aired on November 2, 2019.

Written by Afshar and Ebrahim Ali Barzi, the series has depicted parts of the life of the Iranian polymath Jaber ibn Hayyan, known in the west as Geber. He was an expert in chemistry, alchemy, astronomy and many other fields.

Jaber ibn Hayyan is often referred to as the father of early chemistry because of his many contributions to science. Aside from his great scientific achievements, Jaber was a true Muslim and a follower of the sixth Shia imam, Imam Ja’far Sadiq (AS).

The cast list includes the late Hassan Joharchi, Akbar Abdi, Aliram Nouraee, Enayat Bakhshi, Soudabeh Beyzaee, Farhad Besharati, Jafar Dehqan, Ziba Boroufeh, the late Anoushiravan Arjmand, the late Kazem Afrandnia, the late Fatemeh Taheri, Hassan Asadi, Giti Moeini, and Saeedeh Arab.

‘Jaber ibn Hayyan’, produced in 2006, will be replaced by ‘Amir Kabir’ made by Saeed Nikpour.
